This is a very important museum, fully compatible with spiritual Arcadia. Based on the collection of George I. Christodoulopoulos, with over 500 drawings and engravings of great European and Greek artists. The collection is spread over four centuries of art from the 16th century and is wisely structured to detect all aspects of the Arcadian mystery. It tells the tale of myths of utopia, it discovers the Arcadia of explorers, it devotes a separate chapter to the revolution, pays homage to the pastoral life and explains why the Forest and the Mountains are pillars of the Arcadian Ideal. The library of the museum counts more than 1000 titles and many of them are rare and scarce. The exhibitions are spread over 600 hectares, dedicated to the beauty and uniqueness of Arcadia. It attracts influential personalities and often holds periodic exhibitions of particular importance. We can say that the museum itself and its actions are the outcome of Arcadia’s spirituality and not just a shelter to preserve it.
